There is a new anti-Islam propagandist in our midst. Despite the Dutch essentially ignoring him as an incompetent raging lunatic, Geert Wilders has blindly continued his crusade, making a new movie denigrating Islam & the ‘Insanul Kamil’, the Holy Prophet (saw) resurrecting age old & well-refuted myths. “Fitna”, low quality propaganda unfit for elaborate examination, brings nothing new that hasn’t been addressed centuries prior and continuously from then on.
Our community, the notoriously peace-loving & peace-enacting Ahmadiyya Muslim Jam’aat has condemned his virulently anti-Islam evangelism by refuting the erroneous ideas he’s tried to attach to Islam & the Greatest Man (saw). The Khalifa dismantled the claims and expounded on the beautiful actions of The Holy Prophet (saw) as a response. He also refuted the pope with non-muslim scholars and their opinion on Islam.
Geert Wilders however seems unwilling to repent and displays his audacious obstinacy in continuing the propaganda. Consider then, that if the Creator calls the Holy Prophet (saw) the Greatest of all Creation and a man continues his vicious, slanderous campaign against Allah’s greatest creation, what the reaction could be, as a sign for people of conscience and wisdom to take heed. Allah’s wrath only descends after arrogant obstinacy boldly defies repeated warnings.
The Promised Messiah (as) & his Khalifas have been moved to react to malicious propaganda about the Holy Prophet (saw) for over a hundred years. And God has displayed his loyalty every time.
The West already has the example of John Alexander Dowie who engaged in hateful and false speech about the Holy Founder of Islam (saw). He also claimed that he was appointed by God. The Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) had also made the claim and offered Dowie a prayer-duel (mubahala) with both individuals invoking God’s curse upon the liar by which God would distinguish the false & guilty from the truthful & righteous.
Dowie was initially hesitant to accept but when he did, God gloriously fulfilled the Messiah’s prophecy about the ignoble death and destruction of Dowie and his Zion City project he started in Illinois. Dowie became paralyzed on stage in NYC in front of thousands of supporters, he was exposed as an alcoholic while forbidding drinking for his followers, he was abandoned by all but a few handful of supporters, even his own family and died in utter ruin and despair with all his pomp and glory snatched from him. Many American newspapers have documented the fulfillment of this prophecy. The Boston Globe even ran the headline, “Great is Mirza, foretold pathetic end of Dowie”
Similar events have repeatedly occurred in the 120 years of the Ahmadi Movement in Islam.
Consider a more recent example.
The Pakistani Military dictator Zia Ul Haq embarked upon a vicious persecution campaign against the Ahmadi community in Pakistan with Ordinance XX essentially depriving Ahmadis from fundamental HUMAN rights. With this, they declared Ahmadis to be non-muslim. They were to be tossed into jail for saying “Assalam Alaikum” under the guise of safeguarding muslims from these “fake” muslims. They were also not allowed to declare the Shahadat (There is no god but God and Muhammad is his servant and messenger) under threat of imprisonment for “impersonating muslims.” Conviction in prejudicial courts was an assured thing despite the lack of evidence.
The 4th Khalifa (successor) of the Messiah warned Zia Ul Haq repeatedly over several months to desist from his persecution campaign and that God could still forgive him and he could thereby avoid the impending punishment and retribution for his actions if he stopped. Zia ul Haq was unfazed and continued the campaign.
Then on Friday, August 12, 1988 the Khalifa told Zia that his time was up, that he had exceeded all bounds and that he could no longer avert his terrible fate which would soon overtake him. He stated that he would be obliterated into pieces.
A mere 5 days later, on August 17, 1988 Zia ul Haq’s plane exploded in the sky with American ambassador Arnold Raphael aboard as well.
They only recovered a fake tooth of Zia’s from the wreckage which was used to “bury” him.

Geert Wilders is taking a similar path. Although he is largely ineffective and mocked at his evangelism and devotion to this path of ruin he has embarked upon, his unwillingness to rectify his conduct could bring about his utter destruction as a sign for others who wish to follow in his footsteps.
The Khalifa (Caliph) of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has condemned his behavior and cautioned Muslims to beseech Allah for his defense of his beloved prophet, Muhammad (saw) in this regard.
Huzur said he wished to draw the attention of Ahmadis to something most significant and that was saying of durud (invoking salutations and blessings on the Prophet). Huzur said Ahmadis are very regular in saying durud and seek beneficence from it. Also Huzur had included it in the Khilafat Centenary Prayer programme, yet Huzur wished to draw attention towards it today. Further explaining the blessings of durud through the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Huzur said we should read it these days with profusion in context of the enemy, in their presumption, trying to discredit the Holy prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). While the enemy will meet nothing but disgrace we, as a Community should focus on saying the durud. When we will collectively say the durud it will number in its millions. We should turn to Allah and seek His help to enable us to take the teachings of Islam to the world in a most splendid manner.
Huzur said we wish to make it clear that we do not believe in taking the law in our own hands, however, we believe in the Omnipotent God Who has power over everything, therefore fear God and change your attitude. While trying to imbibe in the Divine attributes we say to you to change. This is our last attempt, we now leave the matter with Allah.

The Khalifa has given his final warning. Only time will tell if it is heeded. It is quite possible that if Wilders does not reform his activities that he is uniquely punished by Allah in this world and in the hereafter. However our duty as Muslims is only to invoke blessings on the Prophet (saw) and leave God to handle the mischievous deceivers. This is what the Khalifa has implored us and this is what Allah has told us
We read in the Quran:
[33:57] Allah sends down His blessings on the Prophet and His angels pray for him. O ye who believe, you too should invoke His blessings on him and salute him with the salutation of peace
[33:58] Verily, those who malign Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them an abasing punishment.
May Allah safeguard the faith of the righteous. And give us patience as in the prayer of David (as) he taught us in the Quran.
[2:250] ‘O our Lord, pour forth steadfastness upon us, and make our steps firm, and help us against the disbelieving people.’
